Oakwood and Salt Fork find success, SJO soccer falls to Fisher

A deep Fisher bench and a SJO injury proved to be too much as SJO fell to Fisher 2-1 Tuesday.
Fisher opened with a goal from Will Shook just a few minutes into the game.
The Spartans and the Bunnies battled back in forth with 12 total shots on goal.
Fisher was the first to score in the second half as Parker Rollins’ shot bounced off the post and into the goal.
SJO’s Tyler Sullivan capitalized on a new corner kick play named after Logan Ingram, who broke his arm in a recent game against Bismark.
Oakwood/Salt Fork Golf
The Oakwood High School boys’ golf team topped Salt Fork 202-227 Tuesday.
Oakwood’s Logen Hoshauer topped all scores with 44. Sam Pratt led Salt Fork with 52.
Oakwood’s Ryan Hicks (50), Reed Sperry (54), Travis Goodner (54) and Cade Lawhorn (54) alongside Salt Fork’s Mac Hill (57) and Brady Althaus all shot in the 50’s.

Five of eight Oakwood-Salt Fork’s goals Tuesday were unassisted as they defeated Schlarman Academy 8-1.
Dawson Rogers (2), Caleb Lashuay, Aaron Dean and Joe Lashuay all scored unassisted goals. Rogers assisted goals by Brady Tevebaugh and Joe Lashuay while Joe Lashuay also assisted a goal by Rogers.
Ethan Vasquez scored Schlarman’s only goal at the beginning of the second half.
