Free Concert with the Taylors at St. John Lutheran Church

The Taylors, a sibling gospel trio from North Carolina, has recently embarked on a 180-date tour across the United State and the United Kingdom.

St. John Lutheran Church, located at 203 Church St. in Royal, will host the group on October 21 at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5.

“We hope to see some old friends and meet some new ones at Royal!” the group said.

After releasing their most recent album, “Faithful Again” in the summer of 2018, the Taylors are ready to share their love of music and God with audiences.

“We love interacting with live audiences because it gives us the opportunity to show people that We believe what we sing.

“Every weary mile is worth it if someone in an audience recognizes that and accepts Christ as their savior. We’ve been able to witness 5,000 plus professions of faith—all glory to God!”

Using their talents to spread the Word of God is something that the Taylors have done their whole lives. Growing up in a Christian home, where their father was the minister at a Southern Baptist Church for 32 years, it was under their mother’s guidance that the siblings worked to create music.

The Taylors began as a quartet 13 years ago, then in 2016, the group transitioned into a trio with the departure of their sister, Leslie, who felt a calling to minister alongside her husband in Myrtle Beach.

It’s always been a blessing to travel and sing full-time with siblings. Our focus has always been one of ministry. We believe music is a powerful avenue which we can share God’s love and his plan of salvation with it listeners.”

The Taylors seventh album, “Faithful Again” comes after 13 years of ups and downs through personal and professional endeavors.

“We recorded or latest album “faithful again” with the theme of God’s never-ending goodness and faithfulness to his children. We’ve experienced a lot of hardships throughout those 13 years and the music really reminds us that God has brought us through storms before so we trust him to do it again.”

The Taylors’ concert Sunday is free and open to the public. A love offering will be taken.

St. John Lutheran Church will also be giving away tickets to upcoming performances by the Taylors.
