Rose and McCarty combine for two-hit shutout in season opener

Pitchers Adam Rose and Keegan McCarty combined on a two-hit shutout on Monday, teaming up for 10 strikeouts while walking no one as St. Joseph-Ogden blanked visiting Villa Grove/Heritage 10-0 in a five-inning baseball game.
Kaden Jacobs drove in three runs for the Spartans
Jacobs and Adam Frerichs each had two hits for SJ-O.
Weather permitting, the Spartans are scheduled to play at home today against Armstrong-Potomac.
Softball
Heritage opened its season on Wednesday, suffering a 14-0 loss at LeRoy.
The Hawks were limited to two hits, one each by Noelle Woodmansee and Aliya Holloman.
