Spartan baseball defeats Westville

Drew Coursey pitched three scoreless innings and drove in two runs with sacrifice flies on Thursday as the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans topped visiting Westville, 9-4, in a non-conference baseball game.
Coursey was credited with the win. He struck out two and permitted two hits.
Keegan McCarty had three hits and Sam Wesley collected two for SJ-O. Wesley scored three runs.
McCarty and Adam Frerichs each had two runs batted in.
The Spartans snapped a 4-4 tie with a fifth-inning run.
SJ-O (6-4) returns to action today at home against unbeaten Mahomet-Seymour.
