Oakwood golfer Logen Hoshauer finished in seventh-place individually on Monday in the Tiger Kick-Off Classic at Urbana Country Club.
Hoshauer’s 79 led the Comets in the 16-team event.
In the team race, Oakwood placed 15th with a score of 421.
Reed Sperry carded a 94 for the Comets.
Other Oakwood scorers were Travis Goodner (119), Joie Sollers (129) and Seth Halls (144).
The Comets return to action on Tuesday at Harrison Park, in Danville, facing Watseka and Westville.
