The Village of Ogden will host a public showing of “The Sandlot on Sept. 14 at 8 p.m.at the Old High School Park baseball field on Market Street.
Concessions will be provided by the Friends of the Ogden Rose Library. Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating.
The 1993 film follows Scotty Smalls as he moves to a new neighborhood with his mom and stepdad.
Enthralled with baseball, Scotty joins Redriguez, the neighborhood baseball guru, “Ham,” “Squints,” and “Yeah Yeah” in this coming-of-age story that involves treehouse sleep-ins, the local pool, baseball games and the fair.
“The Sandlot” is rated PG.
