Four players scored in double figures on Friday as the Comets opened Vermilion Valley Conference play with a 59-43 win at Chrisman.
The victory snapped a three-game losing streak.
Isiah Ruch and Brevin Wells each scored 12 points for the Comets. Teammates Jackson Powell and Josh Young chipped in with 11 points apiece.
Ruch hit six of his points in the opening quarter as Oakwood opened up an 11-6 lead. The Comets led, 26-18, at intermission.
The Comets (5-5) return to action on Friday with a home game against Westville.
