Oakwood girls’ basketball outscored by Milford

The Comets were outscored 11-4 in the third quarter at home on Thursday and suffered a 40-27 Vermilion Valley Conference loss to Milford.
The visiting Bearcats held a 19-15 halftime advantage.
Addie Wright led the Comets with eight points. Karsen Rupp scored six points and Aaliyah Denius made five points.
Oakwood scoring leader Kaitlyn Young (22.2-point per game average) was sidelined by the flu.
The Comets (15-5 overall) return to action on Monday at Hoopeston Area. The Comets are 5-2 in Vermilion Valley Conference action.
