Due to concerns of the spread of COVID-19 and the announcement of Gov. Pritzker recommending all events 250-1000 people be canceled or postponed, the Vermilion County Conservation District canceled the Maple Syrup Open House, scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Forest Glen Preserve.
“This decision is disappointing to make, but the safety of our visitors, volunteers, community and staff is our highest priority,” the District said.
Syrup will still be available for purchase on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the maintenance building, as well as Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Forest Glen and Kennekuk Visitor Centers.
