Pritzker closes Illinois golf courses
Golf courses in the State of Illinois are closed as of Thursday, March 27, 2020 until further notice.
Earlier in the week, it was announced that walking golfers could still use courses after Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued Executive Order 2020-10, the stay-at-home order.
When golf courses drew large crowds the next day, the Illinois PGA announced on Twitter: “Despite an interpretation stating that golf courses could remain open during the Stay at Home Order, the state of Illinois is now prohibiting golf courses from opening. Golf course maintenance & carry-out service for club restaurants is permitted.”
