Zoey Witruk

Zoey lives in St. Joseph with her mom and dad. She has one older sister, Tori. Her hobbies include reading, spending time with friends and family, and being a part of her travel softball team, the Peoria Sluggers. Zoey has many great memories at SJO. She had a blast at the IHSA State Softball Tournament her freshman year. She also enjoys going to volleyball and basketball games. As a fan, Zoey remembers the varsity volleyball match at STM in 2018, when the Spartans were down late but then rallied to win. She has really enjoyed these moments at SJO. After high school, Zoey is attending the University of Illinois and is majoring in animal science. She plans to become a veterinarian someday. Her advice for future SJO students is to not take any moment for granted because high school goes by so fast. Her favorite classes at SJO are Civics, English, and Chemistry. Her favorite all-time teachers throughout all her schooling are Mrs. Stone and Mrs. Ford at St. Joseph Middle School and Mr. Simondsen and Mr. Schacht at SJO. Congrats to Zoey on all of her accomplishments and best of luck to her in the future.

Kendall Ayers

Kendall lives in Royal with his mom. He has two older brothers. His hobbies include playing video games, singing, and working on computers, and Kendall has a passion for geology. His greatest memories at SJO are simply the great day-to-day interactions he has had over the years in high school. Kendall will always remember going to All State Chorus at Olivet Nazarene University, which was a huge accomplishment for him that he certainly should be proud of. After high school, Kendall has plans to take a vacation out west, and then he will attend Parkland College. He will be a part of Parkland Pathways, as he plans to transfer to the University of Illinois to major in computer engineering. Kendall’s advice for future SJO students is for students to get their foot in the door and to make an impression. His favorite classes at SJO are Physical Education and Chorus. His favorite all-time teachers are Mrs. Max, which was his 5th/6th grade teacher at PVO, and Mrs. Steffen, Mr. Kieffer, Mr. Beckett, and Mr. Hess at SJO. Congrats to Kendall on all of his accomplishments and best of luck to him in the future.
