St. Joseph-Ogden Senior Spotlights: Payton Clements, Chayce Livingston, Lucas Downing and Max Chatterton
Payton Clements
Bass Fishing (4 years), Football (3 years), FFA
Payton lives in Ogden with his family. His hobbies are fishing and working on cars. Payton’s greatest memories at SJO center around being a part of the SJO football team and the SJO bass fishing team. He also really enjoyed Homecoming his senior year. After high school, Payton is headed to boot camp for the National Guard, as he will start basic training on June 1st at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. After basic training, Payton plans to transfer to Eastern Illinois University in November to major in environmental sciences. His advice for future SJO students is to be open about going to social events like Homecoming, etc. Payton is thankful for all of his great teachers at SJO, and he really enjoyed his Agriculture classes. Throughout his years of schooling, Payton’s favorite teachers include Mrs. Maxwell and Mrs. Howard at PVO and Mr. Glazier, Mrs. Kietzman, Mr. Billman, and Mrs. Duitsman at St. Joseph-Ogden High School. Congrats to Payton on all of his accomplishments and best of luck to him in the future.
Chayce Livingston
Football (4 years), Track & Field (1 year), Maroon Platoon, Art Club
Chayce lives in Ogden with his family. He has one older sister. His hobbies include fishing, photoshop editing, and playing PS4 with friends. Chayce’s greatest memories at SJO include every moment of playing on the SJO football team. He had a great time playing football at SJO, and he liked the overall, positive vibe within the program. After high school, Chayce wants to major in graphic design. At the moment, he is unsure what college he will attend. His advice for future SJO students is to not wait to do your assignments, so you will feel less stressed about your work. His favorite classes at SJO were all of his Art classes with Mr. Beccue. Throughout his years of schooling, Chayce’s favorite teachers include Mrs. Max and Mr. Hartman at PVO and Mr. Beccue at St. Joseph-Ogden High School. Congrats to Chayce on all of his accomplishments and best of luck to him in the future.
Lucas Downing
Soccer (2 years), FFA, Maroon Platoon, Drama Club
Lucas lives in Royal with his family. He has an older sister and two younger brothers. His hobbies include playing baseball, riding four wheelers, and hanging out with friends. Lucas has a lot of great memories at SJO. He thoroughly enjoyed FFA in high school, and he highly suggests FFA to all SJO students. After high school, Lucas is attending Northwest Lineman College in Florida. His advice for future SJO students is to be excellent, stay on top of your homework, and do not fall behind. His favorite classes at SJO were BSAA with Mrs. Duitsman and Mr. Pfundstein and Geometry with Mr. Duval. Throughout his years of schooling, Lucas’s favorite teachers are Mrs. Howard and Mrs. Anderson at PVO and Mr. Duval and Mr. Beckett at St. Joseph-Ogden High School. Max Chatterton
Football (4 years), Wrestling (2 years),Track and Field (3 years), Maroon Platoon, FFA, CO-OP
Max lives with his family in St. Joseph. He has two younger sisters and one younger brother. His hobbies are fishing, working on projects, and working on cars. Max’s greatest memories at SJO include wrestling camp at the Wisconsin Dells and all of the FFA events he attended, especially the FFA National Convention and FFA Point Chart Trip. After high school, Max plans to attend Parkland College to study construction management. Max is also looking into apprenticeship programs in the construction field. His advice for future SJO students is to turn in your homework because that will make things easy for you. His favorite classes at SJO were Ag Mech Tech with Mr. Billman and Health with Mr. Vetter. Throughout his years of schooling, Max’s favorite teachers include Mr. Steele and Mr. Maroon at St. Joseph Middle School and Mr. Billman and Mrs. Nekolny at St. Joseph-Ogden High School.
