With Gov. JB Pritzker “Restore Illinois” plan, the Homer Youth League has decided to cancel the 2020 summer ball season.
We really held on to hope that things would change and we would be able to have some type of season,” the organization stated in a Facebook post.
“With the governor’s announcement about the plans to reopen the state this week, we just don’t see that it is possible to have any type of season at all.”
Parents and guardians will receive a refund request form in the coming days. The form has to be returned in order to receive the refund. There is also an option to donate the money to Homer Youth League. All donations will be used to purchase new equipment for the 2021 season.
