Oakwood residents are invited to celebrate the class of 2020 on Sunday, May 17 at 5:30 p.m. as seniors drive a vehicle through town.
“We are asking the community to step outside their house and wave, ring a bell, shake your noisemakers and holler at these kids to give them a memorable end to their senior year!” organizer Amanda Wells wrote in a Facebook post. “Family and friends who don’t live on the route, come join in on the celebration and sit anywhere along the parade route (all while maintaining social distancing, of course)!”
The following route will be taken:
Leave Oakwood Grade School at 5:30 p.m. and head south on S. Olmstead St.
Turn left onto Route 150.
Turn right on Lucas Ln.
Turn left on Kelley Dr.
Turn right on Lee St.
Turn right on S. Oakwood St.
Turn left onto Route 150.
Turn right on S. Seymour St.
Turn right on Collett St.
Turn left on Oakwood St.
Turn right on Dolbee St. and follow that to N. Harrison St.
Right on Collett St.
Left on Oakwood St.
End at Casey’s intersection.
