Seniors Travis Goodner and Reed Sperry led the Comets to victory on Thursday (Sept. 10) in a three-team boys’ golf meet at Danville’s Harrison Park.
Goodner was the runner-up, firing a 44. Sperry placed third with a 46. Oakwood also had the fourth-place finisher in sophomore Case Kopacz, with a 49.
Rounding out the scoring for the Comets was sophomore Kyle McFarland (50). He tied for fifth place.
Oakwood was the meet winner with a score of 189. Judah Christian was second (193), followed by Hoopeston Area (214).
