Led by two top-25 placers, the Comets captured sixth in the 10-school Paxton-Buckley-Loda Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 12).
Allie Morris (17th in 20 minutes, 59.68 seconds) and Macie Russell (21st in 21:38.99) were the Oakwood/SF leaders.
The team’s other participants were: Mackenzie Russell (33rd in 22:36.89), Gracie Jessup (47th in 24:21.13), Shelby McGee (65th in 26:01.88), Brylie Smith (74th in 29:30.39) and Kailey Frischkorn (77th in 32:28.78).
Monticello was the team champion with 24 points. Unity was second with 45 points. Oakwood/SF was sixth with 167 points.
Oakwood returns to action on Thursday at the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Invitational.
