Meet medalist Zach Buesing fired a 34 on Thursday (Sept. 10) and earned a two-stroke victory in a three-school boys’ golf meet at Ironwood, in Tuscola.
The Villa Grove/Heritage athlete has shot in the 30s for each of his five rounds this season.
Other scores for the Blue Devils were: Jake Gilles (55), Jalen Southard (55), Nicolas Wilson (57), Jesse Bessent (59) and Noah Davison (61).
Team honors went to Effingham St. Anthony (151), followed by Tuscola (188) and VG/Heritage (201).
The Blue Devils return to action on Thursday (Sept. 17) for Senior Night at Tri-County Country Club against St. Joseph-Ogden and Okaw Valley.
