Fisher, Guido, Greibot, Swanson and Retz lead Panthers to win over Unity and Monticello

St. Joseph runners secured five consecutive top-10 spots on Monday (Sept. 14) and captured team honors in a three-school junior high boys’ cross-country meet at Tolono.
Following St. Joseph in the team chase were host Unity and Monticello.
Jack Fisher led the way for St. Joseph, placing third individually in 12 minutes, 30.6 seconds for the 2-mile course.
Hot on his heels were teammates Mason Guido (fourth in 12:37.6), Joe Greibot (fifth in 12:42.3), Kyler Swanson (sixth in 12:43.4) and Lance Retz (seventh in 12:44.0).
The split for the team’s top five runners was 13.4 seconds.
Two other squad members broke the 13-minute barrier. Finn Miller was timed in 12:47.2 and Zach Harper finished in 12:58.8.
Other St. Joseph participants were Colin Burnett (13:02.4), Carson Sarnecki (13:11.7) and Carson Sharp (14:25).
St. Joseph returns to action on Monday (Sept. 21) at Monticello.
