Chloe Burkhalter was the lone Spartan to place among the top 10 on Tuesday (Sept. 15) in a dual meet against Monticello at Lodge Park.
Burkhalter ran ninth, finishing the 3-mile course in 22 minutes and two seconds.
Others among the team’s top seven were: Hanna Eastin (12th in 22:23), Helene Jones (14th in 22:55), Ava Knap (15th also in 22:55), Lauren Lannert (16th in 22:59), Kaytlyn Baker (17th in 23:13) and Taryn Sexton (18th also in 23:13).
Monticello posted a 15-66 victory.
SJ-O returns to action on Saturday (Sept. 26) in the annual Spartan Classic, which will be held at the St. Joseph Community Park.
