Freshman Lilli Montgomery ended third in a four-school meet on Tuesday (Sept. 15) at Tuscola.
Her 3-mile time was 22 minutes and 17 seconds.
Other team leaders were Emma Buesing (12th in 25:18), Hailey Stutz (13th in 25:58), Kyleigh Price (14th in a PR of 26:12) and Madison Logan (16th in 26:27).
In the team chase, VG/Heritage finished third, just seven points behind runner-up Tuscola.
VG/Heritage returns to action on Saturday in the Moultrie-Douglas County Championship race at Tuscola’s Wimple Park.
