Medalist Case Kopacz fired a 48 on Thursday (Sept. 17) at Turtle Run in Danville and was a 3-stroke winner.
Teammate Reed Sperry tied for second, with a 51, as the Comets outlasted Danville 203-213.
Oakwood’s other scorers were Travis Goodner and Kyle McFarland, each of whom carded 52s.
The Comets return to action on Monday (Sept. 21) at Danville’s Harrison Park against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin and Westville.
