Happ, Nickle and Struck score in Heritage Baseball final game

Heritage ended the regular season with a 12-3 loss on Thursday (Sept. 17) at Gifford.

Rylan White and Robert Holloman each collected two hits and one RBI for Heritage.

Anthony Happ, Destin Nickle and Brennan Struck scored the Heritage runs. Happ and Struck reached base via walks as did Kamble Pearman.

White pitched the first 3 2/3 innings, striking out four. Lukas Miller fanned one batter in 1 1/3 innings before Struck finished with one hitless inning.

Heritage suffered a season-ending loss on Monday (Sept. 21) with an 11-0 five-inning loss to Rossville-Alvin in an IESA regional tournament contest.

Pitchers Anthony Happ and Robert Holloman combined to throw a three-hitter, but were undone by walks (six total) and errors (five overall).

Heritage was limited to two hits, a single by Kamble Pearman and a double by Rylan White. Pearman, White and Dillon Bear all stole bases.

Happ and Destin Nickle both drew walks.

In two innings pitched, Happ struck out two batters. Holloman fanned five in his two-inning stint.

Heritage ends with a 1-11 overall record.
