Burnett, Schmitz and Harper lead St. Joseph at Mahomet-Seymour

The Panthers had three top-20 runners on Monday (Oct. 5) in a three-school boys’ junior high cross-country race at 13 Acres Park, in Mahomet.
The St. Joseph leaders were Colin Burnett (17th in 12 minutes, 50.3 seconds), Charlie Schmitz (18th in 12:55.9) and Zach Harper (19th in 13:05.8).
The school’s other participants were Colton Overstreet (21st in 13:22.6), Carson Sharp (27th in 13:38.1), Waylon Jones (31st in 13:47.8), Thomas Ware (33rd in 14:10.7), Will Besson (34th in 14:12.0), Cameron Sharp (35th in 14:15.2), Quinn Stahl (37th in 14:21.1), Cyrus Zadeh (39th in 14:22.8) and Eli Birt (43rd in 14:54.2).
In the team race, M-S was first, Mount Zion second and St. Joseph third.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday (Oct. 10) in a six-school sectional it will host at the St. Joseph Community Park.
