Heritage had the individual winner, but Casey wound up with the team win on Thursday (Oct. 8) in a junior high boys’ cross-country meet at Casey.
Hunter Montgomery clocked a time of 12 minutes and 10 seconds to secure a three-second victory in the individual chase.
The other Heritage finishers were Christian Paul (11th in 14:08), Clark Roland (14th in 15:32), Eli Denmark-Collins (18th in 16:49) and Atticus Ashbrook (20th 22:05).
In the team race, Casey scored a 20-64 triumph.
Heritage will also compete in the six-team IESA Casey Class 1A Sectional on Friday (Oct. 16).
