Heritage’s Kiara Jones posted a 30-second victory on Thursday (Oct. 8) in a girls’ junior high cross-country dual meet at Casey. Jones’ 2-mile time was 13 minutes and 27 seconds.
Casey captured a narrow team win, 23-32.
Heritage’s other participants were Kamryn Soard (fifth in 14:54), Madisyn Wilson (seventh in 17:20), Loran Tate (ninth in 18:35) and Breanna McGarigle (10th in 21:26).
Heritage will return to Casey for a six-school IESA Class 1A sectional on Friday (Oct. 16).
