St. Joseph’s Hayden Cargo receives Employee Appreciation Recognition
St. Joseph Mayor Tami Fruhling-Voges has instituted a new program to recognize employees who go above and beyond for the community.
Fruhling-Voges announced the new Employee Appreciation program during the Oct. 13 board meeting.
The idea came to Fruhling-Voges when Hayden Cargo, a Village employee, went out of his way to help an out-of-town couple.
“Cargo stopped, turned around, came back because he saw two people my age scraping up gravel in the street,” Fruhling-Voges said. “They were so very impressed with him.”
Fruhling-Voges said that employees can be nominated for recognition by submitting a name and a description of the employee’s accomplishments to mayor@stjosephillinois.org.
