Eli Ronk finishes ninth at Vermilion County boys’ cross-country

The Comets had one top-10 placer on Tuesday (Oct. 27) in the rescheduled Vermilion County boys’ cross-country meet at Kickapoo State Park.
Eli Ronk finished ninth, registering a time of 19 minutes and 34 seconds in the 3-mile race.
In the team race, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin captured first place, ending with a composite score of 16 points. Runner-up Oakwood/Salt Fork had 52 points and third-place Armstrong-Potomac totaled 63 points.
The Comets’ other placers were: Dalton Hobick (11th in 19:41), Aidan Skinner (12th in 20:09), Alec Harrison (14th in 20:17), Jacob Taflinger (17th in 21:16), Coleton Vermillion (19th in 22:19), Grant Brewer (21st in 23:06) and Ethan Brewer (23rd in 23:52).
The meet was the final one of the season for Oakwood/Salt Fork. The County meet had originally been scheduled for Oct. 20, but was postponed by bad weather.
