Registration open for 2021 St. Jude Run
St. Jude is gearing up for the annual Monticello-to-Peoria Run on July 16 and 17.
Last year organizers made some accommodations due to COVID19, but this year, they are preparing for a normal event, knowing adjustments may be needed.
Registration is now open for runners to sign-up for a leg of the 90-mile run.
“While 90 miles may seem intimidating, we run as a team, each runner running as much or as little as you want at an accessible (11 minute) pace,” Tricia Shaw wrote.
“Whether it is an exciting run with St. Jude patients and family cheering from the sidelines or a country road at 2:00 a.m., the music van follows us the entire way, playing our favorite run mixes! We are a fun, encouraging team with a passion for St. Jude.”
Last year the Monticello-to-Peoria run raised $65,000 for the kids at St. Jude. This year, the goal is to raise $100,000.
To register, go to www.stjuderuns.org and select Monticello. It costs $1,000 for sponsorship, but the St. Jude Run team will help teams raise that amount.
