Blue Devils end four-game 2021 kickoff, travel to Blue Ridge tonight
By Fred Kroner
Playing its fourth game in six days – and third road contest – the Blue Devils suffered a 47-33 setback on Thursday (Feb. 4) at St. Joseph-Ogden.
Kyleigh Block scored a game-high 18 points – her fourth successive game as the top VG/Heritage scorer – but only two other teammates cracked the scoring column.
Vanessa Wright had nine points and Kaylee Arbuckle added six points.
Block drained three three-pointers, raising her season total to 13.
VG/Heritage trailed the Spartans, 21-17, at halftime, but managed just four second-half field goals and fell short in the non-conference contest.
The Blue Devils (1-3) return to action on Monday (Feb. 8) at Blue Ridge.
