The Hawks were limited to nine first-half points on Friday (Feb. 5) and dropped a season-opening 44-30 loss to Okaw Valley (2-0) at Bethany in a Lincoln Prairie Conference game.
Seniors Logan Nohren and Carson Howard each tallied 10 points to lead Villa Grove/Heritage.
Howard, Jake Eversole and Ezra Ely each made three-point shots for the Hawks.
The Hawks return to action on Tuesday (Feb. 9) at home against Cerro Gordo/Bement.
