Senior Logan Nohren posted a double-double on Tuesday (Feb. 9), but Villa Grove/Heritage lost its home opener, 56-42, to Cerro Gordo/Bement.
Nohren tallied 11 points and pulled down a team-high 12 rebounds.
The top VG/Heritage scorer was Jake Eversole. His 14-point performance included three baskets from three-point range. Eversole had a team-high four steals.
Carson Howard scored eight points to go with nine rebounds for the Blue Devils. Issac Mahoe dealt out four assists.
VG/Heritage (0-2) returns to action on Friday at home against Tri-County.
