Panthers undefeated in 2021 start

The seventh-graders opened the season with back-to-back wins.
In the opener on Thursday (Feb. 4), St. Joseph topped Champaign St. Matthew 54-10. Will Haley and Tim Blackburn-Kelly each scored 10 points for the winners.
On Saturday (Feb. 6), St. Joseph overpowered Tuscola, 32-6. Blackburn-Kelly scored a team-high eight points. Cam Schluter added seven points.
The St. Joseph eighth-graders are also undefeated, adding their third win on Thursday (Feb. 11) at Tolono Unity, 33-20, with Colin Thomey scoring a team-high 11 points. James Barron added eight points.
In earlier games, St. Joseph handled Tuscola 23-8 in its home opener on Saturday (Feb. 6) with Tanner Siems scoring six points, and the team opened the season with a 42-31 win over St. Matthew, in Champaign.
Thomey led the way with 14 points. Kendrick Johnson added 10 points.
