Addie Wright scored eight of her game-high 14 points in the first quarter on Thursday (Feb. 18), leading Oakwood to its first win of the season, 42-18 at Georgetown-Ridge Farm.
Ashlynn Pinnick scored 11 points for the Comets. Aaliyah Denius netted eight points and Karsen Rupp totaled six points.
The Comets led 14-4 after one quarter and 23-11 at halftime. Overall, Oakwood limited G-RF to six field goals.
Oakwood (1-3) returns to action on Thursday (Feb. 25) at Hoopeston Area.
