Oakwood girls’ basketball ends season with loss to Westville

In its season-finale, Oakwood was unable to build on a 20-4 first-quarter lead and lost a 46-45 decision at home against Vermilion Valley Conference foe Westville on Thursday (March 4).
Addie Wright notched a team-high 16 points and ended the season with a team-best 13.8 scoring average.
Aaliyah Denius scored 10 points, Karsen Rupp had eight points, Tiffany Paris added six points and Ashlynn Pinnick totaled five points.
Wright and Denius combined for 15 of Oakwood’s first-quarter points.
The Comets finish their abbreviated, COVID-19 shortened season with a 3-6 overall record.
