Spartans pick up win at home over Olympia

The Spartans followed up on their lowest scoring output of the season (52 points) two days earlier by hammering home 81 points on Friday (March 5) with a win at home over Stanford Olympia, 81-58.
SJ-O opened up a 49-29 cushion by halftime.
Sophomore Ty Pence led the way with his seventh double-double of the season, tallying 24 points and handling 12 rebounds.
Pence has been adept at getting to the free throw line this year, attempting 93 in 10 games.
Evan Ingram hit 16 points, Cameron Costa had 11 points and Andrew Beyers ended with 10 as well as six rebounds.
The Spartans were dialed in from the perimeter, sinking 12 three-point shots. Ingram made four, Costa had three and Beyers and Pence each hit two. Logan Smith also made a three-pointer.
Jackson Rydell had eight points, six rebounds and three steals. Pence contributed five assists.
SJ-O (8-2) returns to action on Tuesday (March 9) at Monticello.
