Four different squad members led, or shared, the team-lead in scoring during Oakwood Junior High School’s seven-game season.
Ben Darling and Evgeni Andersen each led the team in three games. Teammates Tyler Huchel and Ethan Morger were each the leaders in one game.
Darling had the team’s top individual performance, 12 points against Armstrong-Potomac.
In recent games, Oakwood lost at Gifford, 21-8 on Friday (Feb. 26). Andersen scored four points.
On Tuesday (March 2), Oakwood dropped a 29-17 decision at home to Westville. Darling was the leader with five points.
In the team’s home finale on Thursday (March 4), Hoopeston Area topped Oakwood, 36-18. Andersen and Morger each had six points.
The regular season ended on Saturday (March 6) at Schlarman Academy, in Danville. The home team won, 54-11. Andersen led Oakwood with seven points.
Oakwood ended the year with an 0-7 record.
