Mustangs end season winning four-of-five

The Prairieview Ogden seventh-grade boys’ basketball team wrapped up its season by winning four of its final five games.
A 41-19 victory at Westville on Thursday (Feb.25) was PVO’s third win in a row.
Kodey McKinney hit a team-high 11 points, followed closely by Coy Hayes with 10 points.
Parker Fitch totaled seven points, Kaden Wedig had five, Garrett Loschen had four and Dalton York added three points.
On Monday (March 1), PVO won its home finale, 54-6 over Rantoul St. Malachy.
Fitch set the pace with 16 points. Graham Ray posted 12 points. Vance McComas had eight points and Hayes ended with seven.
It took two overtimes for the season-finale to be settled and it ended with St. Joseph topping PVO 49-44 in St. Joseph.
Fitch tossed in a game-high 25 points. Hayes had 10 points. McKinney registered seven points and Ray chipped in with two.
The seventh-grade team ended its year with an overall record of 6-2.
Five different players led, or shared, the team-lead in scoring this season.
Hayes was the leader in five games. Fitch and McKinney each led in two games. Loschen and Ray set the pace in one game apiece.
