In the season-opening co-ed soccer match on Tuesday (March 9), Oakwood/Salt Fork fell behind by three goals in the first half before mounting a comeback that fell short at Rossville.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin held on for a 3-2 win in a Vermilion Valley Conference match.
Brady Tevebaugh and Sam Howie netted goals for Oakwood/SF. Both goals were assisted by Reef Pacot.
Oakwood/Salt Fork goalkeeper Aaron Dean finished with nine saves.
B-H/R-A held a 12-9 edge in shots on goal.
