By Fred Kroner
The short-handed Hawks rode Logan Nohren’s seventh double-double of the season to post a win in their home-finale on Tuesday (March 9).
Villa Grove/Heritage topped Armstrong-Potomac, 50-35.
Nohren achieved a season-high 33 points and matched his season-high with 15 rebounds.
Nohren and Carson Howard (13 points) combined to score all but four of the team’s points. Howard handled eight rebounds.
Also hitting baskets for VG/Heritage were Brady Clodfelder and Parker Stevens.
A-P (1-10) led, 10-9, after one quarter, but VG/Heritage had pulled into a 27-21 lead by halftime.
The Hawks (7-5), at less than full strength due to COVID-19 protocol, wrap up their season on Friday (March 12) at Chrisman.
