Both Oakwood junior high volleyball teams suffered season-ending losses in IESA Class 3A regional postseason matches at Westville.
The seventh-graders dropped a 25-16, 25-10 decision to eventual regional champion St. Joseph in the semifinals on Monday (March 8).
Sixth-seeded Oakwood reached the semifinals after upsetting third-seeded Georgetown Mary Miller in the quarterfinals on Saturday (March 6), 25-27, 26-24, 25-23.
The Oakwood eighth-graders were beaten in the quarterfinals on Friday (March 12), also by eventual regional champion St. Joseph, 25-19, 25-8.
