Oakwood Soccer tops St. Joseph-Ogden

Seniors Brady Tevebaugh and Sam Howie each scored two goals on Wednesday (March 17) as the Oakwood/Salt Fork co-ed soccer team dispatched visiting St. Joseph-Ogden 6-2 in a non-conference match.
Tevebaugh had two assists and Howie had one.
The Oakwood/SF lead was 1-0 at intermission, thanks to Grant Powell assisting Tevebaugh. Powell totaled two assists in the match.
The Comets extended their lead to 3-0 before the Spartans got on the board.
Powell and Cooper Myers also scored for Oakwood/SF. Reef Pacot had the team’s other assist.
Goalkeeper Aaron Dean had six saves.
On Thursday (March 11), Oakwood/Salt Fork was victorious in its home opener, 6-0, over Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Westville.
Tevebaugh and Howie took turns assisting each other in the first half. Oakwood/Salt Fork led, 2-0, at intermission.
Tevebaugh and Powell each netted two goals. Howie totaled three assists.
Robby Wright also had a goal and Powell finished with one assist.
Dean posted three saves in his first shutout of the season.
Oakwood/Salt Fork (2-1) returns to action on Thursday (March 18) at Schlarman Academy, in Danville.
