Altenbaumer and Pence pitch no-hitter for St. Joseph-Ogden

Junior Tyler Altenbaumer and sophomore Ty Pence combined to pitch the first shutout of the spring for the St. Joseph-Ogden baseball team on Thursday (April 15) at Champaign Central.
Altenbaumer pitched the first six innings of a 9-0 victory. He walked no one and struck out eight. Pence pitched a hitless seventh inning, fanning one and walking no one.
Hayden Brazelton, Pence, Andrew Beyers and Zach Martinie all extended their hitting streaks to three games.
Brazelton drove in three runs. Pence had his third multi-RBI game. Beyers collected two hits. Isaiah Immke belted a two-run double.
SJ-O is 3-0 with each win against an opponent from the Big 12 Conference. The Spartans return to action on Monday (April 19) at home against Oakwood.
