The Blue Devils opened the season with losses on back-to-back days.
St. Joseph-Ogden won at Villa Grove, 15-4, on Friday (April 16) before Villa Grove dropped a 3-2 decision at Paris on Saturday (April 17) when the Tigers scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Against SJ-O, Kyleigh Block, Allison Pangburn and Vanessa Wright all finished with two hits. Wright slugged a home run.
The Blue Devils managed six hits at Paris. Wright and Pangburn each drove in runs.
