Kennedi Burnett recorded a double-double while teammates Becca Steinbach and Hannah Fox put up monster numbers in a Thursday (April 22) volleyball victory for St. Joseph-Ogden at Monticello.
Burnett totaled 18 kills and 14 digs to go with two aces in the Spartans’ 25-19, 19-25, 25-21 triumph.
Steinbach posted a season-high 40 assists, along with six digs. Fox led the defensive charge, registering 29 digs.
Payton Vallee contributed 11 kills, eight digs and one assist. Shayne Immke landed seven kills.
On Friday (April 23), the Spartans completed a 10-1 home season by dispatching Teutopolis 25-21, 25-14.
Vallee socked 10 kills, Burnett had six kills and Ashley Eldridge had five kills. Vallee had five digs and Burnett contributed three digs.
Eldridge ended with two blocks. Burnett added one ace and one assist.
SJ-O ends the season with a 17-3 overall record and a five-match winning streak. The Spartans won three matches during the final four days of the season.
