Oakwood baseball drops two this week

Koby Fletcher pounded a double and a home run, driving in four runs on Monday (April 26), but Oakwood was unable to hold onto leads of 6-1 and 13-10 and suffered a 19-13 baseball loss at home to Heritage.
Isaiah Ruch scored three runs for the Comets.
Grant Powell produced a homer among his two hits. Cayden Wells also collected two hits. Powell and Dylan Bensyl both knocked in two runs.
On Tuesday (April 27), in its Vermilion Valley Conference opener at home, Oakwood gave up five runs in the top of the seventh and fell short against Armstrong-Potomac, 8-6.
Fletcher scored two runs. Ruch drove in three runs.
Oakwood (2-3) returns to action on Saturday (May 1) on the road against LeRoy and Mendon Unity.
