Oakwood softball falls to Armstrong-Potomac

Senior Tiffany Paris had a five-hit performance for Oakwood, but the Comets dropped a 16-12 softball decision at Armstrong-Potomac on Thursday (April 29).
Paris swatted three singles, a double and a triple.
A-P broke a 12-12 deadlock in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring its final four runs.
Oakwood totaled 15 hits in the Vermilion Valley Conference contest.
Savannah Nevitt, Karsen Rupp and Lyrik Talbert were other Comets with at least two hits. Rupp also stole two bases.
Rupp suffered the pitching loss. She worked six innings, struck out three and yielded 12 hits.
Oakwood (1-1) plays its home-opener on Monday (May 3) against Chrisman.
