SJ-O softball loses to Mahomet-Seymour and Stanford Olympia

Freshman Addie Martinie slugged her second home run of the season, but St. Joseph-Ogden’s offense couldn’t keep pace with Mahomet-Seymour’s on Thursday (April 29) in a 13-3 five-inning loss on the Bulldogs’ field.
Martinie drove in two runs.
SJ-O was limited to four hits.
Kennedy Hudson, Peyton Jones and Audrey Short all stroked singles. Short stole two bases and Jones swiped one.
Sophia Martlage worked the first two innings and took the loss.
On Friday (April 30), SJ-O dropped a 6-3 decision at home to Stanford Olympia. Alyssa Acton had two hits for the Spartans. Maggie Ward took the loss.
Shayne Immke slugged two home runs and a triple on Saturday (May 1) as SJ-O topped Monticello 12-3 in Monticello.
Immke drove in six of the Sages’ runs.
Kaylee Ward hit a two-run homer. Ward, Acton and Jones all had two hits for SJ-O.
Acton was the winning pitcher.
SJ-O (7-4) returns to action on Monday (May 3) at home against St. Thomas More.
