Maci Clodfelder’s double drove in Kyleigh Block in the sixth inning for the lone Villa Grove run on Monday (May 3) in the Blue Devils’ 6-1 softball loss at Tolono Unity.

Block and Logan Lillard each swatted two hits for VG.

Block pitched a complete game and struck out three.

On Wednesday (May 5), Clodfelder and Brown each drove in three runs to back the complete-game pitching performance of Block who walked one and struck out five as VG overpowered Centennial 11-3 at home.

Block, Clodfelder and Allison Pangburn delivered two hits apiece. Block and Pangburn each scored three runs as the Blue Devils snapped a six-game losing streak.

Villa Grove (2-8) returns to action on Thursday (May 6) at home against Armstrong-Potomac.
