The Comets won two of three dual meets on Friday (May 7) at Cumberland, with four squad members winning all three of their individual matches for the night.
Oakwood edged Cumberland 42-38, thrashed Effingham 60-9 and dropped a narrow decision to Mattoon, 38-31.
Unbeaten for the night were Gage Reed (120 pounds), Reef Pacot (126 pounds), Bryson Capansky (132 pounds) and Blake Barney (138).
Reed, Pacot and Barney each registered two pins as did Joe Lashuay (170 and 182 pounds).
Oakwood (4-1) returns to action on Tuesday (May 11) in its home-opener. The Comets will have dual meets against St. Joseph-Ogden and Clifton Central.
Through five matches, 15 different Oakwood wrestlers have wins and nine have at least one pin.
