Oakwood baseball defeats Armstrong-Potomac

Dalton Hobick pounded three hits – each one landing for extra bases – to help Oakwood to its second baseball shutout victory in three days, a Thursday (May 7) 11-0 conquest at Armstrong-Potomac.
Hobick ripped two doubles and a triple.
Grant Powell notched two hits and drove in three runs. Isaiah Ruch also contributed two hits.
Travis Goodner scattered four hits over his four-inning pitching stint and earned his first win of the year. Goodner walked two and struck out eight.
Dylan Bensyl finished the shutout by striking out all three batters he faced in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Oakwood (5-4) returns to action on Monday (May 10) at Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin.
